Vaccination, Immunity and Breakthrough: Quantitative Effects in Individual Immune Responses Illustrated by a Simple Kinetic Model
نویسندگان
چکیده
The personal risks of infection, as well the conditions for achieving herd immunity, are strongly dependent on an individual’s response to infective agents one hand, and reactions vaccination other hand. main goal this work is illustrate importance quantitative individual effects disease risk in a simple way. applied model was able effects, cases different reactions, after exposition viruses or bacteria vaccines. based kinetic equations stimulation antibody production using concentrations agent, vaccine antibodies. It gave qualitative explanation differences breakthrough requirements concerning second, third further vaccinations, reconsidering efficiencies immune reaction.

15 صفحه اولEffects of different cytokines on immune responses of rainbow trout in a virus DNA vaccination model
Seven rainbow trout cytokine genes (interleukin (IL)-2, IL-8, IL-15, IL-17, IL-1β, intracellular interferon (iIFN) 1a, and IFN-γ2) were evaluated for their adjuvant effects on a DNA vaccine, called pG, containing the glycoprotein gene of infectious hematopoietic necrosis virus (IHNV). Distinct DNA constructs in expression plasmid pcDNA3.1 encoding a cytokine gene were generated. Immunofluoresce...
متن کاملComparison of Immune Responses following Intradermal and Intramuscular Rabies Vaccination Methods
Rabies is a zoonotic viral disease. The causative agent is a negative-sense RNA genome virus of the genus Lyssavirus (Family: Rhabdoviridae). The disease, commonly transmitted by rabid dogs, is the cause of mortality of over 59000 humans worldwide annually. This disease can be prevented before the development of symptoms through proper vaccination even after exposure. Hence, improvement of the ...
متن کاملMaternal immunity enhances Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae vaccination induced cell-mediated immune responses in piglets
BACKGROUND Passively acquired maternal derived immunity (MDI) is a double-edged sword. Maternal derived antibody-mediated immunity (AMI) and cell-mediated immunity (CMI) are critical immediate defenses for the neonate; however, MDI may interfere with the induction of active immunity in the neonate, i.e. passive interference. The effect of antigen-specific MDI on vaccine-induced AMI and CMI resp...
متن کاملEffects of propolis, a honeybee product, on growth performance and immune responses of Barbus barbulus
Background: Propolis, a honeybee product, has been used empirically for centuries and was always mentioned as an immunomodulatory. OBJECTIVES: In this study, the effects of propolis on growth indices, innate immune responses and haematological parameters of Barbus barbulus were investigated. METHODS: Three hundred and sixty juvenile Barbus barbulus, weighing 102±8.2g were randomly divided int...
